It reminds me of some favourite earlier records, "I Feel Alright" & "Train a Comin". They raised an impressive amount of money for the WV Red Cross, but it was never just about the money. Your contributions are tax deductible and will change a life. The best I've heard from Steve Earle in a long while. It's a tragedy that Justin Townes Earle is gone and such a terrible loss for his family. You sense the loss but even more so love from father to son. The songs have an earthier tone and a softer touch with an appealing palette of country, blues and bluegrass. It all seems to work and IMO presents Steve at his best.
Keith plays guitar and sings the Don McLean folk song ‘Castles In The Air’. The ensemble numbers of ‘Caledonia’, ‘Ireland’s Call’ and ‘Working Man’ highlight the powerful diversity of the music and amazing vocal talent are the hallmark of all Celtic Thunder shows. Take Me Home is a non-profit, volunteer-based foundation that has been saving the lives of homeless animals since 2001. We work in conjunction with shelters and rescues throughout the world to help save animals on death row, on the streets or in unsafe living conditions. Our team is driven by love, compassion and doing right by innocent animals who have no voice. As with any non-profit, we rely solely on funds from generous and cherished supporters to keep saving lives.

Take Me Home was recorded live at the Casino Rama in Toronto, Canada. Celtic Thunder’s third DVD release continues along their Celtic journey featuring songs, new and old, from their Irish and Scottish heritages. Traditional songs such as the hauntingly beautiful a cappella version of ‘Danny Boy’ and the title song ‘Take Me Home” are performed with true Celtic Thunder style. Take Me Home also includes Celtic Thunder’s signature takes on international classics ‘Every Breath You Take’ by The Police, and the Josh Groban hit ‘You Raise Me Up’. Solo numbers ‘Happy Birthday Sweet 16’ and ‘Breaking Up is Hard to Do’ are performed by teenager Damian McGinty, while George Donaldson brings us back to Scotland with his take on the Proclaimer’s Hit ‘500 Miles’.
